Bagshot Cricket Club forced to reboot their Facebook presence

Bagshot Cricket Club forced to reboot their Facebook presence

Ally Edwards23 Apr - 11:28

The grassroots cricket club, who were denied access to their Facebook page, have been forced to create a new one!

Bagshot Cricket club, a small, friendly Cricket Club in Surrey housed in Royal grounds, have been refused access to their own Facebook page.

Delving deeper into the saga it was discovered that the previous Communications Managers, all who are still active members at the club, have each denied creating the page. Without proof of id or the original page creator, the club have had to resort to creating their own page and restarting their presence on the platform.

When asked for comment the Club Chair stated “…..”
3rd XI Captain, known affectionately as Growler, pondered “FaceWhat?”
2nd XI Captain, known by many names, merely commented “Don’t send anyone to the old one!”
1st XI Captain laughed “Need the Insta password?”

The Club President, Jem, has been involved in technology for years and even he is stumped. The only conclusion was to create a new page for the club.

We have been reliably informed that new rules have been initiated at the local club to prevent this kind of tragedy happening again.

Club Stalwart (who may or may not stay on this season, time will tell), Mike White, has stressed that the club apologises wholeheartedly to all those who follow the old page. That page will remain as the giant beginning with M won’t remove it but if you want to keep up to date on everything that is Bagshot Cricket Club please follow the new page on this LINK. And get tagging!

If you are tech savvy and feel like it, unfollow that old page. It is old news, just as this will be next season.
